Emily Thomas
This summer Emily Thomas, Head Coach at Birmingham Southern College, will be the lead coach at the Georgia Tech lacrosse camp.
Thomas was a two-sport athlete at The College of New Jersey from 1996 to 2000, where she played on two women’s lacrosse national championship teams in 1998 and 2000, as well as the 2000 field hockey national championship team. The lacrosse team suffered only two losses during her four years with the squad, and Thomas, whose maiden name is Fellona, played in four women’s lacrosse Final Fours. She was named Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) and U.S. Lacrosse First-Team All-America in 2000, and earned spots on the 2000 NCAA Division III All-Tournament Team and the 2000 NCAA Division III Senior All-Star Team.
Prior to coming to BSC, Thomas served as a coach with Tri State Lacrosse Club in New Jersey in 2005 and 2006, and was a coach with Future Elite Lacrosse Club in Washington, D.C., from 2002 to 2004.
